AHHHHHH! GAH! OMG ! What
the WHAT? NO JLA DIDN’T!
Ok, sorry. I just had to get that out of my system. *Phew*
Seriously guys, this is the MOST INTENSE read, like EVER. First off, get ready
for Daemon’s head. There are no words that can truly express the sheer joy and
ecstasy that is being inside the mind of the galaxy’s sexiest alien. NO
WORDS! Just this:
Then of course there is the whole Kat is basically being held prisoner and Daemon has to save her,
so then came this:
so then came this:
True fact: in all honesty, I was never into boy bands, nor did I understand the screaming girls. Until Now. JLA has reduced me to one of those crying, flailing, wannabe-tweens with the Lux series. And Origin just pushed me right over the edge into crazy territory. Seriously, this was me reading Origin:
This book is so heart-stopping wild from page one until the very last line, which will cause your brain to completely overload (see above). The lengths Daemon goes to to rescue Kat are mind-blowing. What the two of them have to endure is overwhelming. They are strong, but will they really get through this unscarred?
We meet some awesome new characters in the book, including
my new fave Archer. When you learn Archer’s secret, just GAH! Every thing goes
into free fall. Forget what you think happened to Dawson and Beth. You will
NEVER guess what’s really going on. This is jaw-dropping news, so make sure you
have a pillow nearby to cushion the fall. Then wait until you meet Micah. He is
terrifyingly AWESOME!
Some old favorites also make significant re-appearances. I
love seeing Luc again AND learning so much
about him. I <3 you Luc. Paris
returns, Nancy Husher and her cringe-worthy self is back, Sargeant Dasher will
make you scream. And BLAKE…….Oh BLAKE….just…I can’t even go there. Blake's story made me do this:
Thank you Jennifer L. Armentrout for an EPIC
(and I hate that word, but so appropriate) book!
So.....when's the next one coming out???
Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.
After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.
All Katy can do is survive.
Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?
Together, they can face anything.
But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?
