Feature & Follow Friday!

Guess who's being featured this week? Me! Huge thanks to Alison from Alison Can Read.

So how does it work?

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

This week's question:

Book Vacay: Where is the best destination reading spot for you? (Where do you like to go to read other than your home).

This one is easy for me. I live in South Florida so there is really only one place to choose and that's the BEACH! I even got a giant umbrella and extra-cushiony lounge chair. I have a favorite beach that isn't too crowded, so it's really peaceful. I call it my "office" and love to torture my friends back home with pictures of me working :)

Last summer we spent some time in the NC mountains and I loved to get up early, get a fresh cup of coffee, and then sit out on the deck over looking the stunning view and read while everyone else slept :)

  1. YES!! I love reading on the beach - or where I live, the park that's on the lake. There isn't much actual sandy beachfront in my area, lol. But your getaway in the mountains sounds so nice too. I usually can't make myself get up early, but for some peaceful reading time? I could totally go for that. ;)

    1. I don't do it much, and only on vacation, but getting up early and watching the sunrise with a good book is amazing. Oh, and can't forget the coffee! Happy Friday!

  2. Oh, we're both beach people!! I moved from San Diego to San Antonio five years ago so the beach isn't close anymore. I've been making due with forests instead. I find trees as calming as the beach.

    Congrats on the feature!

    1. I love mountains/trees more than the beach, but that's probably because the beach is easy access. Grass is always greener, right?

  3. I am assuming you don't do a lot of ereading, I always want to read on the beach and it's just too darn bright!
    Happy Friday!

    1. Most of my reading is ereading now. But when I'm at the beach I usually take a book. I <3 my library. It supplies a lot of my beach reads, or paperbacks I buy :) I do a lot of reading at night with the ereader.

  4. Hi, congratulations on being the Feature Friday! Reading a favorite novel is an escape from reality but you wouldn't want to do that when on vacation would you? idk Whoever thought of this question is not that bright.

    1. I live near the beach, so it is more of a place I read other than my bed at night :) I think book vacay just meant someplace other than your own home. I like the library, Starbucks, really anywhere LOL. Happy Friday :) Thanks for coming by.

    2. Egads! I must read more carefully. I thought it was a question about when you are on vacation where is the best place you like to read . I realized my mistake after I posted it .

  8. Congrats on being featured!! Isn't it just awesome?!

OOh nice reading place! I am not much of an outdoor reader since my weather isn't usually good. Not in my opinion. I have to be comfy to read and that includes good weather. But really I can read just about anywhere!

    1. I had to look where you lived. Right out of college I got offered a job in St. Louis. My first night there sirens went off for a tornado. I nearly died (never been through that before). Needless to say I didn't take the job LOL. It's a beautiful city though. I loved the river. Happy Friday!

  15. congrats on the feature! I'm still holding out hope I will be one someday soon!!

I need to get a big umbrella, maybe that will save me from being burned. I would hate to have to slather down in SPF 100 sunscreen just to read when I can do it at home, so maybe with a big umbrella and comfy chair I can handle it!

Thanks for stopping by my post :)

    1. The beach is the only place down here that isn't scorching hot. The cool ocean breeze makes it almost not miserable. And I burn in under 20 seconds so the umbrella is a must :) Plus baking in the suns rays is not my idea of fun LOL. But the shade, ocean, and the breeze all together is perfect :) Happy Friday!

    1. I do too, thus the need for the giant umbrella. Plus I just don't like sitting directly in the sun, too hot. :) But give me a beach umbrella, comfy chair, chilled beverage, and the cool ocean breeze and I'm in heaven :)Happy Friday!

  19. Yes! I love reading on the beach when there isn't too big of a crowd. My favorite would have to be reading in the mountains with a cup of coffee in hand before anyone else is up and about, though. It's so relaxing and is a wonderful way to start the day. Congrats on being featured. :)
