COVER REVEAL: Lux: Beginnings by Jennifer Armentrout and Giveway

Lux: Beginnings (Obsidian & Onyx ) will release on June 3, 2014.

Lux: Beginnings (Obsidian & Onyx) :

Obsidian

There's an alien next door. And with his looming height and eerie green eyes, he's hot...until he opens his mouth. He's infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, he lights me up with a big fat bulls-eye. Turns out he has a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal his abilities and the only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to him until my alien mojo fades. If I don’t kill him first, that is.

Onyx

Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro alien connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems. I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

EXCERPT:

Moving lightning fast, Dez shifted and I was suddenly underneath him. His arms were on either side of my head, caging me in. Our bodies didn’t touch, but I felt him to the tips of my toes anyway.

The teasing grin disappeared when I dragged in a deep breath and my chest brushed his. Everything changed in an instant. The playful mood faded, replaced by primal heaviness. Our gazes collided and locked. Neither of us moved. His closeness sent a series of shivers skittering across my skin and made it hard to take slow, even breaths. My body tensed when his gaze dropped to my mouth.

He tilted his head to the side. “I… I honestly have no idea what we were talking about.”

“Good. Neither do I.”

He shifted his weight onto one arm, bring him closer. “Have you enjoyed your trip so far?”

“Yes.” I felt as if I couldn’t get enough air into my lungs.

“Good.” He lowered his head. His breath was minty as it moved across my cheek and then my lips. “I’m glad.”

I wasn’t really following the conversation and I wasn’t sure that he was fully aware of what was coming out of his mouth. I searched my hazy brain for something to say and wet my lips. I-

The sound that came out of Dez’s chest rumbled through me. A stuttered heartbeat passed and then his lips were on mine. There was nothing slow about this kiss. It scorched my skin and caused my body to stretch tight like a bowstring. The kiss deepened, spinning my senses. I shuddered when his hand curved over my shoulder and drifted down to my waist, his long fingers spreading out under the hem of my shirt, grazing the bare skin of my stomach.

I gasped, floored by the raw sensations pounding through my blood. My skin felt as if I was about to phase. Maybe I was.

“Jasmine,” he whispered, the word falling against my lips, and then his body was pressing mine into the mattress, heavy, sweet and hard.

ABOUT BITTER SWEET LOVE (The Dark Elements #.5):

In a sizzling prequel novella to her new series The Dark Elements, #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout draws readers into the extraordinary, irresistible world of Wardens and demons.

Dez wasn't just Jasmine's crush. A gargoyle Warden like Jas, he helped her come to terms with her destiny—fending off demons and maintaining the balance between good and evil. He was her everything…right until the moment he disappeared without a trace. It didn't help that Jas's father had just announced that she and Dez would one day be mated. Hard not to take that personally.

And now he's back, three years older, ten times hotter, ready to pick up exactly where they left off. But Jas isn't taking that risk again. Dez has seven days to meet all her conditions and earn back her trust. Seven days filled with terrifying danger and sweet temptation. Seven days to win her heart—or shatter it all over again…

Pure by Jennifer L. Armentrout-Meet our SETH!

Book summary for Pure

There is need. And then there is Fate.

Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her. When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon--and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude--or killing her. When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone

Interview:
For JLA – Pure has been called Seth’s book.  Did fans reaction to Seth surprise you?  I wasn’t really surprised by the reaction to Pure because I knew that the book focused more on Seth than Aiden.

For Alex -  Knowing what you know about Leon, do you think there was more to him being the one to find you in labyrinth?  Oh, I’m sure there was more to it.

For Aiden -  By far, the zoo was the best scene in Pure.  What did you enjoy most about being at the zoo with Alex?  I loved knowing that I was doing something for her that made her happy.

For Seth – That whole sleeping issue that you and Alex have in Pure, did you realize what was up or were you just going with it?  I would’ve just gone with it.  But, truth?  I knew what was up.

In Pure, we really get to know Alex's "other half" Seth. We get to see his good side, his sexy as hell bad boy side, and his secretive side. There are just too many sides to count for this love-him, hate-him, want to fix him character. So Jennifer and I decided we would have a little fun casting the lust-worthy, and slightly misunderstood Seth. Love, hate, whatever you feel about him, Seth knows how to stir emotions in people. He's lean, muscular, and sexy as hell. The lovely Regina from Mel, Erin, and Regina Read-A-Lot is a huge Seth fan, so I asked for her help in finding the right person for this challenging role. I absolutely loved her pick. So here is our choice for the delicious Seth:

And another shot:

So what do you think? Does this hot, hunk of a bad boy make you think of Seth? Let us know and share your casting choices in the comments below!

For the record, as much as Jennifer and I love watching Seth act out and toss around his Apollyon weight, we are totally #TeamAiden all the way!

If you haven't read this AMAZING and SWOON-WORTHY action-packed series, get started today! Sentinel comes out in a few days and we are drooling in anticipation to find out what happens next!

Where I Become a Crazy, Flailing Tween. Thanks JLA and Origin!

AHHHHHH! GAH! OMG! What the WHAT? NO JLA DIDN’T!

Ok, sorry. I just had to get that out of my system. *Phew* Seriously guys, this is the MOST INTENSE read, like EVER. First off, get ready for Daemon’s head. There are no words that can truly express the sheer joy and ecstasy that is being inside the mind of the galaxy’s sexiest alien. NO WORDS!  Just this:

Then of course there is the whole Kat is basically being held prisoner and Daemon has to save her,
so then came this:

faint gif photo: tumblr_ll54z8dK7T1qdpoaso1_400.gif

True fact: in all honesty, I was never into boy bands, nor did I understand the screaming girls. Until Now. JLA has reduced me to one of those crying, flailing, wannabe-tweens with the Lux series. And Origin just pushed me right over the edge into crazy territory. Seriously, this was me reading Origin:

This book is so heart-stopping wild from page one until the very last line, which will cause your brain to completely overload (see above). The lengths Daemon goes to to rescue Kat are mind-blowing. What the two of them have to endure is overwhelming. They are strong, but will they really get through this unscarred?

We meet some awesome new characters in the book, including my new fave Archer. When you learn Archer’s secret, just GAH! Every thing goes into free fall. Forget what you think happened to Dawson and Beth. You will NEVER guess what’s really going on. This is jaw-dropping news, so make sure you have a pillow nearby to cushion the fall. Then wait until you meet Micah. He is terrifyingly AWESOME!

Some old favorites also make significant re-appearances. I love seeing Luc again AND learning so much about him. I <3 you Luc. Paris returns, Nancy Husher and her cringe-worthy self is back, Sargeant Dasher will make you scream. And BLAKE…….Oh BLAKE….just…I can’t even go there. Blake's story made me do this:

I want to squeal about so many moments, but I don’t want to give away a thing. You have to experience it all. I will say that you will laugh, cry, scream, cringe, cry again, scream some more, and then just be left breathless. Forget a rollercoaster ride, ORIGIN is one ginormous free fall! Go forth and loose your lunch (in the most perfectly AMAZING way that is!).

Thank you Jennifer L. Armentrout for an EPIC (and I hate that word, but so appropriate) book!

So.....when's the next one coming out???

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?
